Up and Away
This week our new glass doors at the East entrance (Door 4) were installed. It's amazing how much natural light now filters down to the Fellowship Center- exactly the kind of warm, welcoming effect we were going for! The doors are still getting connected to our access control system, but should be up and running soon. And speaking of up- would you have believed that an extension ladder could reach up that high in our sanctuary? Contractors were working on the smoke beam in the sanctuary this week, which is an effective method of detecting smoke in large, open areas. When the light beam is interrupted by smoke the fire alarm will go off. Pretty neat! Closets in the choir room were painted this week, which means we're one step closer to occupying that room again.
