Children's Education

Sunday School

For all children 3 years old through 5th grade.

Sunday School will take place in-between worship services in the sanctuary in a “one room schoolhouse” approach until we have access to our lower level again. From 9-9:45 am we’ll gather for music, bible stories, and crafts… and we’ll do it all together! Register here or contact Deacon Christine for more information.

First Communion Instruction

First Communion instruction is offered to all students in first grade or above. Contact Pastor Zak for more information.

Youth Education

Middle School/Confirmation

For all youth in 6th - 8th grades

Confirmation instruction for youth in grades 6-8 will be on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am in-between morning worship services.  Classes will be 45 min long and include check in, games, videos and time to discuss study materials. We use a rotating curriculum and this year we will be exploring the New Testament. Register here, or contact Judy Nuehring.

Special Events: Middle School/Confirmation students are invited to participate in a variety of service events, retreats, and fellowship opportunities throughout the year. Each summer, the group goes on trip for fellowship and to participate in service opportunities.  Stay tuned on the location of this summer’s trip!

High School

For all youth in 9th - 12th grades

High School Hangout: St. Paul’s Sunday morning high school ministry continues to build on faith and relationships developed during confirmation. We will gather in person for 45 min at 9:00 am in between the morning worship services. A variety of topics will be used for discussion, often accompanied by videos. Most include questions we face in every day life and what our Christian response is. Register here, or contact Judy Nuehring.

Logos is a causal gathering that meets over coffee (or beverage of your choice) at 7 pm on Monday nights at Starbucks on Roosevelt Rd. (near Sonic). We share highs and lows and then discuss one Bible verse or question each week.  We will follow current CDC guidelines for masking in public places when we meet.  Our first gathering will be Monday Sept.13. Email Judy Nuehring for more information.

Special Events: High School students are invited to participate in a variety of service events, retreats, and fellowship opportunities throughout the year. Each summer, the group goes on trip to either the ELCA Youth Gathering, a mission project, or to the wilds of the Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Area. Our Summer 2022 trip will be to participate in the Youth Gathering in Minneapolis July 23-28. More information here!
