Posted by Deacon Christine Yucha on

The debris from the Yellow House and Garage has been removed and the "parking lot" leveled. Stakes and spray paint have shown up everywhere in advance of the next round of sitework. Inside, HVAC crews are busy installing new equipment in the attic space above the office area and in the basement...

Walls Down, Walls Up!

Posted by Deacon Christine Yucha on

This was a big week for construction! Heavy equipment continues to dig up the foundation of the Yellow House and haul away the debris. The asphalt parking lot has been pulverized so the machinery can move around more easily. ComEd has been onsite to move a utility pole (no small undertaking)...

Goodbye, Yellow House!

The Yellow House and Garage have served St. Paul in many ways over the years, but they both were demolished on June 3 to literally pave way for something new (a functioning parking lot!). It didn't take long for the heavy construction equipment and skilled bucket operators to complete the job-...

Representatives from St. Paul and the construction team gathered for a small Groundbreaking Ceremony to officially "kick off" construction, giving thanks for how our buildings and campus have served us on the past and saying a blessing for the future! The ceremony was held in front of the Yellow...

Abatement Begins (Part 2)

Posted by Deacon Christine Yucha on

Asbestos abatement begins today on select areas in the basement. These areas will be used as designated storage areas during construction to keep church and Day Care items out of the way and protected during construction activity. Each area is completely sealed off, and a "shower" installed for...
