A "Fool Proof" Way

"A highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way...no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray."  -Isaiah 35:5

As we wander through Advent, seeking God in our lives, I love the idea that not even a fool can go astray from God's Way. When I read this I cannot help but think of the scene above from "The Office" where the foolishness of Michael Scott allows for a GPS to literally lead him and his car into a pond. I think that we sometimes want so badly for God to lead us in our lives that we don't fully listen to what God is actually telling us. We can bee foolish in spite of our best intentions. From time to time we may veer off the path (and into a pond), but the promise here for me this Advent is that in spite of our tendencies to wander from the path, that God's way is fool proof. I think this grace at its best.
