Children and Youth

Children's Education

Children from 3 years old through 5th grade will enjoy being together, learning, singing and praying at one of the programs designed especially for them.

Sunday School

Sunday School meets between services. It all starts with Tune In at 9:15 in Fellowship Hall, when kids preschool through 5th grade gather to sing songs, talk about the Sunday School theme, pray and take offering. Tune In is a high-energy time when children have fun being together before heading off to individual classes. Sunday School goes from the Sunday after Labor Day up to Memorial Day weekend.

Vacation Bible School

Experience VBS week at St. Paul: a high-energy, rollicking week, where children in preschool through 6th grade participate in a variety of activities centered on a theme.

In 2017, Vacation Bible School will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. June 12 through 16. Call the church office to register or turn in the form below.

KidStP!

KidStP! (sounds like 'kid’s stop') is for Kids of St. Paul in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Come for fun, fellowship, and maybe even an occasional trip or retreat! Keep an eye out for upcoming events.

Youth Education

Club 68/Confirmation

Our confirmation ministry is for middle school students in 6th - 8th grades. This ministry offers a time and place for youth to:

  • Build community through fellowship events
  • Serve through mission projects
  • Grow spiritually through faith education

Activities include Sunday morning gatherings at 9:25 am, and special events such as retreats, social activities and service projects throughout the year.

Luther League

Luther League, St. Paul’s high school ministry, continues to build on faith and relationships developed during confirmation.

Luther League meets Sunday mornings at 9:25 in the yellow house next to the church, September through May.

Logos

Logos is a Bible/Book study that meets at the Starbucks on Roosevelt in Villa Park. Join us for snacks, study, and homework! Check the calendar for dates.

Special Events

High School students are invited to participate in a variety of service events, retreats, and fellowship opportunities. Each summer, the group goes on trip to either the ELCA National Youth Gathering, a mission project, or to the wilds of the Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Area.
